In the quintessential Dutch river landscape, where the Maas and Waal rivers meet, knight Dirc Loef van Horne had his castle built in 1358. As part of the New Dutch Waterline, Loevestein has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021. There is plenty to do for young and old in the castle, the outer bailey and the soldiers' village. From exciting stories and interactive discoveries to beautiful walking routes around the castle. With this package, you receive an entrance ticket to the castle per person.

The rich history of the castle is subtly reflected within Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem-A15. The names Restaurant LoeV and Restaurant Bar Stein are inspired by the iconic Loevestein Castle, a culinary nod to the centuries-old castle nestled in the river landscape. After a day full of experiences, return to the comfort of our hotel. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious three-course dinner at Restaurant LoeV or Restaurant Bar Stein. In Restaurant LoeV, you can enjoy classic Van der Valk dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients. For our youngest guests, there is a special children's corner: Lievestein Castle. Here, children can play in their own "castle" while parents enjoy their dinner in peace. Restaurant Bar Stein offers a more intimate and modern atmosphere. Here, delicious dishes from the Josper Grill take center stage, perfect for an evening of leisurely dining or a convivial get-together. The next morning begins with a relaxing, extensive breakfast, ensuring a great start to the day. If you choose to stay two nights, you can complete the experience with dinner at both restaurants and two extensive breakfasts.

A nice tip: rent a bike at our hotel and discover the beautiful river landscape together towards Loevestein Castle, a route that will make your stay even more special. Good to know

• You will receive tickets for Loevestein Castle when you check in at our hotel. Please hand them in at the entrance of the castle. 
• The Loevestein Package cannot be booked during Christmas and New Year's Eve. 
• The free ticket cannot be exchanged for money and is only valid as an entrance ticket. The ticket has no other value. Only original tickets are valid; copies will not be accepted. 
• The Family Suite is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children up to 12 years old. 
• To maintain the luxury and quality of our suites, we require a €250 deposit for each stay. This deposit must be paid by debit card or credit card upon check-in. The suite will be inspected upon check-out, after which the deposit will be returned.
