House Rules Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem-A15

Welcome to Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem-A15. To ensure that your stay and that of others is as pleasant as possible, we kindly ask you to observe our house rules.

Identification at Check-in: A valid ID is required for all guests at check-in, as requested by our front-office staff.

Age Limit: Check-in is only possible for persons 18 years and older.

Deposit at Check-in: For walk-in guests without a reservation and for guests who booked on the same evening, a deposit of €250.00 is required, in cash or via credit card authorization. This rule also applies when checking into one of our suites. The deposit is returned after room inspection at check-out.

Damage & Additional Cleaning Costs: We ask our guests to handle the furnishings in our rooms carefully. In the case of excessive pollution or damage to the carpet or furniture, additional cleaning costs may be charged.
A surcharge of €250,- applies for thorough carpet cleaning or repair work.

Maximum Number of Guests: Staying with more people than booked is not allowed. Visitors are welcome in our Restaurants, but not in the swimming pool, fitness, and spa.

Fire Safety: Burning candles or incense in hotel rooms is not allowed.

Damage to Property: In case of willful damage to property, there will be liability for costs and a report to the police.

No Smoking:The entire hotel, including all rooms, is strictly non-smoking. A fine of €250.00 will be charged for breaking this rule, and immediate removal from the hotel without warning will follow. This includes smoking in the room, out the window, and using all types of smoking products.

Alcohol Consumption: Our staff reserves the right to stop serving alcohol if deemed necessary.

Prohibition of Narcotics: The use and/or trading of narcotics and nitrous oxide is strictly prohibited. Immediate removal without refund will follow if discovered.

Code of Conduct: Please avoid causing inconvenience by loud music, inappropriate behavior, or noise. Respect for other guests is paramount.

Access to Rooms: We respect your privacy, but reserve the right to enter your room if a rule violation is suspected.

For your and our safety, we reserve the right to enter the room after three consecutive days, even if a 'Do Not Disturb' sign is hanging on the door. Of course, we try to coordinate this moment as well as possible.

Room Decorations
Want to decorate a room as a surprise? We understand very well! To ensure our rooms are clean and ready on time for all guests, it is not allowed to decorate the room yourself or use your own decoration material. Self-applied decorations often cause a lot of mess and require significant extra cleaning time from our housekeeping.

For a worry-free and beautiful surprise, you can reserve various decoration and surprise packages with us, with which we can festively decorate the room for you.

If we notice that self-brought decorations are used, extra cleaning costs may be charged to restore the room to its original state.

Liability for Possessions: The hotel is not responsible for loss or theft of your belongings. Use the safe in your room.

Photography: According to the GDPR, taking photos of other guests or staff without explicit permission is not allowed. Photos are considered personal data and require permission for publication.

Violence: Verbal or physical violence against staff or guests is unacceptable and leads to immediate reporting to the police.

Zero Tolerance Policy: Violation of our house rules results in immediate removal without warning. Paid amounts are not refunded and a paid deposit can be retained. Offenders may be placed on our blacklist.
