Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem stands for modern hospitality. This means concretely that we do everything we can to offer our guests and our team the best. A complete range of facilities And services with that little extra touch, where guests don't have to leave the door. We want to create a homely (working) environment where everyone feels at home.

General Manager

My name is Carlijn van der Valk and I am the General Manager of Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem. I proudly manage this new Van der Valk establishment, which brings a wonderful challenge with it.

At Van der Valk Hotel Gorinchem Hospitality is all about our amazing team! Day in, day out, our colleagues ensure that our guests have an unforgettable stay - whether it's in the restaurant, the bar, the hotel rooms, or at an event.

From the warm welcome at the reception, the hospitality of the staff to the chefs in the kitchen preparing the most delicious dishes, and from the housekeeping taking care of the rooms to the smallest detail, the technical department keeping everything running, the sales and banqueting taking care of the business guests to the marketing ensuring a beautiful appearance in the hotel - Together we make the difference!We are proud of our team and the great collaboration between all departments.

Green hotel Gorinchem

Responsible entrepreneurship and sustainabilitySustainability is highly valued by us. That's why we are the most sustainable hotel within our group, and we are proud of that.

Our hotel is completely gas-free. Instead, we use heat pumps. Solar panels, combined heat and power, and cold and heat storage are also essential. We even have our own BioTransformer where the bio-waste we produce is processed. We filter the output so that you are left with green methane for heating, cooking, or transforming into electricity for direct and sustainable use. At the moment, our hotel is still under construction and we do not yet have this certification, but upon completion of the building, we will aim for the Green Key certification (GOLD).

In addition, we offer the option for guests to choose the 'green' option. For example, we encourage guests staying longer than one night to skip interim room cleaning to save water and energy.

We extend our green heart to the smallest details. Think of less paper usage, sustainable menus, and fewer plastic packagings.
